About Us

Hi, I'm Mark Wright. As a singer/songwriter, I’ve had country music songs published and recorded. I was formerly signed to an artist contract with Universal Platinum Plus to pursue a country music career. But God opened a door to a contemporary Christian musical mission - this mission…MARK II. He knows, better than I do, where I should be……….and why. I pray the words I write are His, the notes from my voice are from Him, and both are from God’s Heart ---through me---to yours.

Hey,  Mark Girkey here to tell you a little about myself, so you can know why I'm here! I have played Rock & Roll music since I was 13 and have had some great times and bad. I played in bars and clubs most of my life and did lot's of things I am not proud of but when God touched me in a way I have never been touched and healed me of all the pain in my life, I have never been the same. That is why I am in the place I am now; because God gave me a job to do - sharing His Word with the people that need it like I did! Mark II is a God-send to me so I have a means to help someone else that is the person I was. God Bless and hope to see you sometime soon.

Hey from the third Mark.. Mark Vaughn, also known as Barney.  God opened the door for me to join Mark II after He closed a window for me with another Christian band. My musical career started as a trombone player but I became known as a utility player - a little bit of drums, a little bit of keyboards, and a lot of running sound. After working with secular groups for many years, I realized that it was time to start playing music for God.  I thank Him for this opportunity to help get His message out to those who need to hear it - but haven't heard it through other messengers.

Hi, I'm Bryan Phillips and I was born in Frankfort, Kentucky, July 26, 1961.  I started playing drums at the age of 6 years old with Buck Run Baptist Church children’s choir and the Igthus Singers, which performed at the Knoxville World’s Fair. Currently, I am the senior drummer at the Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church. I have played with many secular bands and groups over the years. I made a decision several years ago to change my musical direction and steer solely to the Christian music ministry heading. I have always believed that a talent given to us by God should be used and returned to glorify His kingdom. Hopefully, within the process of returning God’s talent, lives can be touched, changed and eternal life accepted by anyone who hears His Message.
